Texas Compassionate Use Program
The Texas Compassionate Use Act (Senate Bill 339) was signed by Gov. Greg Abbott and became effective June 1, 2015. The bill requires DPS to create a secure registry of physicians who treat epilepsy, and of patients who have been diagnosed with intractable epilepsy.
While we still have some time before Texas implements the rules and regulations for dispensaries we ask you to give us a little information about yourselves so we can help take care of your loved ones needs.
Texas Compassionate Access
Texas Compassionate Access is a project of the Epilepsy Foundation Texas affiliates. This initiative was launched to support policy changes that will benefit patients and families, especially families with small children who have catastrophic forms of epilepsy. Texas Compassionate Access brings together Texans and nonprofit organizations that support the compassionate access and physician-directed therapeutic use of cannabidiol (CBD), a non-psychoactive component of cannabis, to treat epilepsy.
